Getting started as a seller

The fastest path to your first sale is usually the boring one: post something real, price it honestly, and make it easy for a buyer to trust you. A few things that actually move the needle, in order of how much they matter.

Set up payouts before you post

A listing you create without payouts connected stays private until you finish that setup - so do it first. It's a one-time Stripe form; once it's done you never have to think about it again.

Write the title like a buyer would search it

"Hand-thrown ceramic mug" outperforms "Unique artisan vessel" every time, because it's what people actually type. Save the personality for the description - the title's job is just to get found.

Answer the three questions every buyer has

What is it, exactly. What do they get (dimensions, materials, turnaround time for a service). And why you, specifically - a sentence about your process or experience does more than you'd think.

Photos matter more than anything else you'll do

See the photography guide - this is the single highest-leverage thing on this list.

Your first few sales set your tier

Reviews and completed sales are what unlock "Rising Talent" and "Top Rated" badges, and eventually the ability to promote a listing. There's no shortcut here - just deliver well on the first few and the rest follows.

Reply fast

A buyer messaging before purchase is usually close to buying. A same-day reply converts a lot better than a same-week one.
