Privacy Policy

This explains what Brindl collects, why, and what happens to it. If you have questions after reading it, reach out through the Support page.
What we collect
Account info you give us directly: your name, email, and a password (stored as a one-way hash - Brindl itself never has access to your actual password). Anything you choose to add to your profile: a bio, avatar, or cover photo. Anything you post: listings, reviews, messages to other users. A shipping address, if you buy a physical item. Basic technical data any web server logs, like IP address and browser type.
Brindl never collects or stores your card number - that goes directly to Stripe over its own secure checkout page.
How we use it
To run the marketplace: create your account, show your listings, process orders, and connect buyers and sellers through messaging. To send you transactional emails - order updates, new messages, payout notifications - which you can turn off anytime from Account settings (you'll still see them in-app either way). To respond when you contact Support. To prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with the law.
Who we share it with
Brindl uses a small number of outside services to actually run the site, each of which processes some of your data on our behalf:
- Stripe - payment processing and seller payouts.
- Resend - delivering transactional emails.
- Render - hosting the application and database.
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone for advertising purposes.
Cookies
Brindl uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. There's no third-party ad tracking on the site.
Your data, your account
You can review and update most of your info from Account settings and your profile. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Account settings, which removes your listings, reviews, and messages.
Security
Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. Two-factor authentication is available as an optional extra layer on your account.
Children's privacy
Brindl isn't intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
